Looking to become a fashion blogger, a fashion stylist or a fashion influencer? You’ve come to the right place!

“Share your taste of fashion and combine it with your everyday life”

Some might take their work too seriously that it might cause them to lose motivation, but not for Tamara! Read on to find out why!

What is your name or what should we call you, and how long have you been a stylist/blogger/influencer? Do you remember the year (maybe the day and month, too) that you started?

My name is Tamara Bellis. You can call me Tamara and I’m a fashion and lifestyle blogger since 2016.

Do you have a specific style?

Because I live in an island (Corfu, Greece) my style is always cozy and chic in one. I’m not really fond of black clothes; colorful and shiny ones are what I’m really into!

Why did you want to become a blogger or an influencer? Was there anything that happened that triggered you to become one? Did you see something or someone online, or was it because of your avid interest for fashion?

From the age of six, I was already a model. My interest for fashion continued throughout the years, and that’s how I became a Greek fashion influencer.

How did you start? Did you start with social medias first, then made a site? Or did you start off with a website together with the social medias?

I have had an Instagram account for many years, and my Lookbook account, which is now over 3 years old. After a while, I made my own blog, which is called Shiny Honey, and I’ve been running it for around one year. I had a Tumblr profile where I was sharing inspirational posts about fashion, however, it was not enough for me, and that’s why I decided to create my own fashion blog.

Which website are you using for your blog (WordPress, Blogspot, etc.)? Do you have a reason as to why you chose this website? If so, what were they?

Because I’m a web programmer I “write” my site by my own.

Do you use more social medias now compared to when you were just starting? If so, which social medias have you added?

I use the same social medias as before except for Tumblr. Instead of adding more, I decided to just devote more time to each of the ones that I use now as I saw that the number of followers and interactions are growing gradually.

How often do you post on your social medias when you were in the beginning stages?

I post 2 times a day on Instagram and I have a new blog post on a regular basis.

What camera were you using when you started? Did you have a photographer or you took the photos by yourself? Would you be able to compare the quality of the photos from when you were just starting and to how it is now? What were the changes?

I never had to worry so much about photography, and it’s because my husband, Pete, is such a fabulous photographer!

Was there a specific blog post or social media post that made you go “Wow!” because of the amount of likes, follows or interactions it received? What was that post?

There’s none that comes into mind, but then, it’s always lovely to see my pictures and my blog being re-posted by different fashion platforms!

How was your first year of becoming an influencer? Others have said that the first year is the hardest, for any business in fact. Was there ever a point that you didn’t think it would work? Did you ever get demotivated? If you did, what happened and how did you go through that obstacle?

I always have tried to combine my blog with my everyday life. So every time my family and I are in the mood to go out, we also shoot for the blog. In addition, the fact that I don’t really have such high expectations make my work much more enjoyable!

Do you have any advice to the future influencers/bloggers/stylists? Do you have any few words for them that they could keep in their minds to keep them motivated or inspired?

Do everything with joy and good mood. Share your taste of fashion and combine it with your everyday life.

Finally, do you have a motivational quote that could surely motivate you whenever you are feeling demotivated? If there is, what would that be?

I don’t really have a quote that I could share, but I do know that the support of my beloved husband, and personal photographer, always keeps my motivation high.
